Yes, Superman does return in Batman v Superman. After being presumed dead at the end of Man of Steel, Superman is revealed to be alive and makes a dramatic return in Batman v Superman. His return has a significant impact on the events of the film and the conflict between Batman and Superman. **

However, there have been storylines where Superman has died or come close to death. In the comic book series "The Death of Superman," Superman is killed in a battle with the villain Doomsday, only to be later resurrected. Zarathustra, the central figure in Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophical novel "Thus Spoke Zarathustra," is often considered to be a representation of Nietzsche's concept of the "superman" or "overman." The superman is a being who has transcended conventional morality and societal norms, and has the ability to create their own values and live authentically. Zarathustra embodies these qualities as he seeks to guide humanity towards a higher state of being and consciousness. Therefore, it can be argued that Zarathustra is indeed a superman in the context of Nietzsche's philosophy. **
